Boasting one of the industry’s most advanced body structure – an aluminum-intensive architecture which incorporates 11 materials customized for each area of the car – and numerous automotive industry-firsts, the CT6 sets the benchmark for innovation and technology. An advanced mixed-material approach for the lightweight body structure of the CT6 has been used to simultaneously advance driving dynamics, fuel economy and cabin quietness.
The CT6’s advanced performance chassis system is designed to deliver an engaging driving experience – with segment-best ride, handling and isolation qualities – through the use of Active Rear Steer, Magnetic Ride Control and selectable drive modes.
The CT6 keeps all passengers entertained. Headlining the advanced capability of the CT6’s rear seat infotainment system are the HDMI and USB ports. For intensive smartphone users, inductive wireless charging is also one of CT6’s unique features, allowing users to charge their compatible smartphone without the need to plug it in.
The 34-speaker Bose Panaray Sound System, the first Advanced Technology Series system which debuted exclusively on the CT6 provides impeccable sound throughout, enabling each passenger to have an immersive musical experience.
Drivers can transform their rearview mirror into an LCD screen in the CT6. The Rear Camera Mirror streams HD video from the camera located in the rear end of the car. The mirror offers 300 per cent increased vision, ensuring a full view of everything within its line of sight and can be easily switched back into a regular mirror when needed.
The next-generation Cadillac user experience system (CUE) is designed to recognize the way the driver talks. Cadillac drivers can command simple instructions allowing the driver to maintain full concentration on the road. The CT6 is one of the most connected cars in the segment, thanks to the phone integration technology with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allows smartphone users to connect with applications such as navigation and hands-free text messaging.
The CT6 utilizes its seven cameras to detect pedestrians using Pedestrian Detection technology. The camera scans the road ahead for pedestrians and activates a series of alerts and indicators accordingly. If needed, the CT6 will apply the auto brakes to prevent any collisions ensuring the safety of both the driver and the pedestrians.
The CT6 is fitted with a total of seven cameras, covering the entire surface area of the car. The cameras work to support the features such as Lane Keeping Assist and Night Vision features and provide safety of drivers and passengers. The CT6 also utilizes four of the seven cameras to record video of the vehicle's surroundings; which is automatically enabled once the sensors detect any movement near the car.
Auto Vehicle Hold prevents the car from moving forward or backward when the driver removes their foot from the brake. It also helps reduce fatigue during traffic and improves controls on sloping roads.
Everything in the CT6 is at the driver’s fingertips. The 10.2-inch touchscreen allows the driver to comfortably and safely use the screen. The LCD screens work fast and respond immediately to the drivers’ commands. The screens are also equipped with handwriting recognition technology to make it even easier to input an address and other commands.
